A new pipe inside the old one
The pipes that feed a swimming pool run under the one part of your property you least want excavated: the surround, the patio, the lawn. Relining repairs those pipes from the inside instead. Working through the existing pipe ends, we either coat the pipe wall with epoxy resin or pull a resin-saturated liner into place and cure it hard. Either way the cracks and failed joints that were leaking end up sealed behind a continuous new pipe wall.
The method suits pool pipework particularly well because pool circuits are small-bore lines with bends and tees, which is precisely what our relining kit is chosen for. It is the same no-dig philosophy as our detection work: disturb as little as possible, and prove everything.
Why buried pool pipes fail
Solvent-weld joints let go, ground movement stresses long runs, and Cornish winters find any water left standing in a line over the closed season. Left alone, escaping water erodes the ground around the pipe, the pipe moves further, and the leak grows. A line relined early is a smaller, cheaper job than the same line six months later.
How a reline works
Isolate and test: pressure and vacuum testing identifies the failing line and how badly it leaks
Camera inspection: we see the fault directly and confirm the pipe is sound enough to line
Clean, then line: an epoxy coating or pulled-in-place resin liner is installed and cured through the pipe ends
Prove it: the line is re-tested and the before-and-after results go in your report
Why Cornwall pool owners choose relining
Nothing dug up, so there is no reinstatement bill after the repair
The pool normally stays full while we work
Honest advice: pipes that cannot be lined get a precise dig quote instead
Camera evidence and re-test results included in the report
Pipe relining across Cornwall
From Land’s End to Launceston, we reline pool pipework wherever the county keeps a pool: private gardens, holiday parks, hotels and campsites, including Truro, Newquay, St Austell, Falmouth, Penzance, Bodmin, Bude and Liskeard. Commercial pools can often stay open around the works.
Pool pipe relining FAQs
A no-dig repair for leaking underground pool pipes. The line is cleaned, then an epoxy coating or a resin-saturated liner is installed through the existing pipe ends and cured hard, creating a new sealed pipe inside the old one.
When the pipe is collapsed, crushed or badly deformed. A liner needs a sound pipe to press against, so those lines are excavated and replaced instead, precisely, because the leak has already been pinpointed.
Yes. Pool circuits are small-bore pipework full of bends and tees, and our relining methods are chosen for exactly that. The camera inspection beforehand confirms each line is suitable before any resin goes in.
Usually not. The pipe circuit is isolated from the pool while we work, so the water normally stays put and commercial pools can often stay open around the works.
Because we prove it. The repaired line is re-tested with the same pressure and vacuum testing that diagnosed it, and the results go in your report alongside the camera evidence.
