The other half of the job

Most leak detection companies stop at the report. You get a mark on the ground, a PDF, and the fun of finding a contractor willing to repair a swimming pool. We think that is half a job, so we do the whole thing: pinpoint the leak, repair it, and re-test the system to prove the water is staying where it belongs.

The repair depends entirely on what the detection work finds. Buried suction and return lines are usually sealed from the inside with no-dig relining. Skimmers, gaskets and return fittings are resealed or replaced at the pool. Pumps, filters and valves are handled at the plant room. And on the rare line that is genuinely beyond saving, detection-first means one precise excavation rather than a wrecked surround.

Why fixing it quickly matters

A pool leak compounds. Every litre that escapes takes dosed chemicals with it, heated pools lose paid-for heat, and escaping water gradually erodes the ground supporting pipework and paving. The repair you book this month is nearly always smaller than the one you would book in the autumn, which is why we treat pool repairs as a fast job, not a someday job.

How we repair pool leaks

1

No-dig pipe relining: epoxy coatings and pulled-in-place resin liners cure a new sealed pipe inside the old one

2

Skimmer and fitting repairs: gaskets, seals and return fittings resealed or replaced at the pool

3

Plant repairs and replacements: pumps, filters and valves fixed or swapped at the plant room

4

Targeted excavation where a pipe is beyond relining, one precise dig guided by the detection work

Pool repair FAQs

Yes. Detection and repair are one service here: we pinpoint the fault with pressure testing, dye, acoustics and tracer gas, then fix it, whether that is a relined pipe, a resealed fitting or replaced plant equipment.

Usually. Small-bore pool pipes can be relined from the inside using epoxy coatings or resin liners pulled into place and cured, leaving a new sealed pipe within the old one. Collapsed pipes are the exception, and pinpoint detection means any dig is one small hole, not a trench.

Pumps, filters and valves at the plant room, plus skimmers, gaskets and return fittings at the pool itself. A surprising share of pool leaks turn out to be plant-room faults with straightforward fixes.

Normally not. Most repairs work on the isolated pipe circuit or the plant room, so the pool stays full. If a specific repair needs the level dropped, you hear that from us before work starts, never after.

Trace and access cover on many home policies pays for finding the leak and making good access damage, though not always the repair itself. Check your wording, and use our insurance-approved report to support whatever your policy covers.
